Review recording safeguards
Open Track and read Recording safeguards. Set a visible color and line thickness under Trail appearance before starting.
Review safeguards, choose a trail appearance and start recording. Wait for a fresh GPS fix before relying on the recorded route. - 02
Choose a readable trail style
Expand Trail appearance, choose a color and use Advanced GPS line thickness for a fine, standard or bold line. These controls affect display only; recorded locations and measurements stay the same.
Choose a visible trail color and thickness. Appearance changes do not change recorded positions or measurements. - 03
Start and confirm GPS
Choose Start GPS track and accept the recording confirmation. Wait for Recording and a fresh fix. The distance is based on captured positions; the app does not invent points while it is waiting.
- 04
Control the recording
Use Pause and Resume for breaks. Follow map keeps the view with the recorder; browsing the map does not require ending your trail. Watch the signal status if tracking is interrupted.
Pause and resume from the recorder. This example is waiting for GPS and has no recorded distance; it does not demonstrate a completed trail. - 05
Stop, review and save
Stop the recorder at the end of the trip. Review the route, enter a useful name and notes, then save it. Confirm it appears in Saved trails before leaving the app.
