Import or export your map data
Bring real waypoint files into VENATRIQ and keep a portable copy of your field work.
- 01
Get the actual file
Export a GPX, KML, KMZ, GeoJSON or coordinate CSV from your previous tool. A screenshot or a vendor sharing link is not an importable geographic file.
- 02
Preview the import
Open Map Data Transfer, choose Import and select your file. Review the objects, coordinates and warnings. Expand Notes and appearance to check names, colors and text before confirming.
Choose a geographic file, then review its import preview before saving anything to your account. - 03
Save and verify
Confirm the selected items and wait for saving to finish. Use Retry save if needed. Check a few known locations in Locker before deleting or discarding the original export.
- 04
Choose an export format
Use Export for all supported content or a chosen collection. GPX works well for tracks; KML preserves standard map styles and filled areas; CSV is for pins. Photos, accounts, group permissions and AI analysis do not transfer with map geometry.
WHEN SOMETHING LOOKS DIFFERENT
Quick answers.
Why were some objects skipped?
The preview explains unsupported or invalid geometry and size limits. Current limits are 10 MB, 5,000 objects and 50,000 coordinates. Areas with holes are skipped to avoid filling excluded land incorrectly. Keep the source file and split large collections when necessary.
