Explore water access and sovereign land
Find official research leads near waterways and keep useful records visible on your map.
- 01
Search a waterway
Move the map to the river or lake you want to research. Open Water Access & Sovereign Land and choose Search this area.
Search the current area, choose a result category and inspect official records. A highlighted record is not permission to hunt. - 02
Compare the three result types
Hunting destinations, Sovereign records and Launches answer different questions. Open Source & details on a result to see which agency supplied it and what the record actually describes.
- 03
Keep selected references on the map
Use Map beside a record, or Show all on map. View on map centers the result; View map closes the controls while selected references remain visible. Use Hide beside a selected record, Hide all from map or the layer toggle to remove the highlights when finished.
- 04
Complete the access checks
Read Access checks & source limits and follow the official links. Confirm ownership, legal entry, hunt dates and restrictions for that particular area. A sovereign record or launch does not itself authorize hunting on the adjoining land.
