Search or browse a category
Open Layers. Search by layer or provider, or browse Property & Access, Terrain & Elevation, Habitat & Vegetation, Water & Wetlands, and Fire & Conditions.
Search layers or expand a category. The selected-layer count helps keep the map readable. - 02
Use the shortcuts
All layers shows the full catalog. VENATRIQ narrows it to the app's own intelligence and research tools. Favorites keeps your starred layers close; Recent helps you return to layers you used.
- 03
Read details before combining layers
Expand a layer's details to see its source, coverage, legend and limitations. Use its opacity control where offered. Some terrain and imagery surfaces replace one another so the view stays readable.
- 04
Separate source data from AI findings
AI Hunt Plan Layers controls generated findings such as possible bedding, food sources, thermal refuge and travel corridors. They depend on a completed plan and are distinct from government datasets and your own pins.
- 05
Check the status
Allow the map to settle after a move. A zoom, coverage or provider message explains why a layer is not visible. Turn off unrelated overlays when comparing two sources, then restore the layers you need.
WHEN SOMETHING LOOKS DIFFERENT
Quick answers.
Does a blank layer mean nothing is there?
No. It may be outside coverage, below its display zoom, still loading or missing source data. Check its details and status before drawing a conclusion.
