Find a place or pin exact coordinates
Search an area, save a useful place or turn a coordinate pair into a waypoint.
- 01
Search by name
Tap Search and enter a place, full address, public land name or town and state. Select a result to move the map. If a name is ambiguous, include the state.
Search by a place name, then review the result before opening it on the map. Search results are not confirmation of hunting access. - 02
Enter an exact coordinate pair
Enter latitude, longitude with a comma between them. Review the result carefully, including the minus sign for western longitudes. Choose Drop pin at these coordinates when you want to save that exact point.
An exact coordinate search offers a separate action to create a pin at that point. Review the signs and coordinate order. - 03
Review before saving
Choose the marker type, name and appearance. Confirm the coordinates and save. Selecting a search result only moves the map; it does not automatically create a pin.
Enter latitude first and longitude second, then review the location before saving. This is a demonstration pin. - 04
Return to a place later
Star a search result to save it. The Saved tab also finds your pins and Property Brain locations. Recent shows this device's search history; clearing history does not delete saved field items.
WHEN SOMETHING LOOKS DIFFERENT
Quick answers.
Why are search results different in True 3D?
True 3D uses U.S. place and natural-feature records plus street-address search. It is not a business directory. Exact coordinates are a useful alternative.
