Draw, measure and mark an area

  1. 01

    Choose the tool for the job

    Use Free Draw for an open sketch, Measure for distance, or Draw Area for a boundary, circle or rectangle. Finish or cancel one active tool before starting another.

    Use the tool that matches the job: sketch, measure, outline an area or build a route.
  2. 02

    Place points and review the shape

    Follow the active tool's map instructions. Use undo to correct a point. For an area, inspect the entire outline before finishing so excluded land is not accidentally included.

  3. 03

    Set appearance and save

    Use the available color, line thickness and naming controls. Save the finished object and check its distance or acreage. Your preferred units are managed in App Preferences.

  4. 04

    Manage it in Locker

    Open the relevant collection in Locker to view, rename, edit or hide the saved object. Hiding an object changes visibility; deleting it removes the saved record after confirmation.
