Use Blood Trail Assist carefully

Adjust a color-highlighting aid, inspect a possible sign and mark only what you confirm.

Where to start in the appTools → Blood Trail Assist
  1. 01

Open a camera view or photo

Choose Start camera and allow camera access, or Choose photo. Use Freeze frame to inspect a live view. If your device offers Light, use it to improve the actual image.

Start the camera or choose a photo, then inspect highlighted colors yourself. The tool is a contrast aid, not confirmed blood detection.
  2. 02

    Tune the highlight

Compare Highlight with Original. Adjust Color sensitivity and Glow strength, then choose cyan, yellow or a custom color. A stronger glow changes visibility, not detection certainty.

Tune background colors and sensitivity before increasing glow. Color filters can also hide blood in similar shades; verify every possible sign.
  3. 03

    Reduce distractions

Try Narrow red filter to reduce some orange, brown and purple matches. Under Reduce background distractions, sample up to three distracting colors. Reset them as the ground or light changes.

  4. 04

    Inspect before marking

Possible blood labels identify red-color areas to inspect; they do not confirm blood. Check the original image and the ground. Red leaves, gear and soil can still match, and filters can hide blood of similar colors.

  5. 05

    Save the confirmed location

Use Locate for a fresh GPS fix, then review the blood pin at your position or place it manually on the map. Mark shot site and Mark recovery keep other locations distinct. Open GPS track tools when you want a route record.
